She has taught at universities, Jewish institutions, libraries, and adult/community education centers. Miriam has researched, presented, and published on religious literacy, professional development in the Jewish community, spirituality, friendship, mattering, role play in learning, and ethical development. Her books include Encountering Faith in the Classroom (Stylus), Fostering Religious Literacy Across Campus (New Forums), and Protect Your Identity, Money & Information! How to Spot and Deal with Scams (Brookline). She holds a PhD in Educational Processes from Northwestern University, an MA in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University, and a BS in Rehabilitation Counseling from Boston University.
