Almost Shabbat is a new Friday happy hour series for young Jewish professionals in Boston.

Each gathering will focus on a different field and bring together people who are building careers, making connections, and figuring it all out together. Well have a featured guest to share a few insights and spark conversation, but mostly, it's an excuse to get good people in the same room.

Our first one is Almost Shabbat: Law, on Friday, July 17, from 4:30-6:30 PM.

If you're a law student, summer associate, junior attorney, clerk, public defender, big-law survivor, or whatever counts as "young" in your book, grab a ticket and come hang out. Expect good drinks, good conversation, and a room full of people who understand billable hours and Bluebook citations.

We'll have Shirley Paley with us to talk shop for a bit, but the evening is really about meeting other Jewish folks in the field, shmoozing, making connections, and kicking off Shabbat together.

Come by, have a drink (with 1 drink included with your ticket), and meet your people.

Shirley Paley is currently the Chief Legal Officer at Muon Space, an end-to-end space systems company that designs, builds, and operates mission-optimized satellite constellations. Shirley was formerly the Chief Legal Officer at Formlabs, a leading 3D printing company based in Somerville and has spent her career counseling various leading technology companies. Shirley is a member of the JF&CS Board of Directors and serves on its Finance Committee.
